The Ojon tree is native to the Western Honduran Rainforest, home to the Miskito Indians. For more than 500 years, these indigenous people have extracted oil from the fruit-like nuts of the Ojon tree using it for a variety of hair and body treatments. Ojon's founder formed a partnership with the Tawira tribe of the Miskito who grow, harvest and share in the profits of Ojon hair care.
