A chaffeuse is a petite, low profile French chair that was originally designed for use by the fireside on chilly winter nights. (Chaffeuse is derived from the French word chauffer, which means to heat or warm.) Crafted circa 1890 with an oppulently tufted back, low arms and a shapely, generous seat, we think these would look lovely in a pair by the hearth, though they'd work equally well anywhere you need a French accent or some spare seating. "Deconstructed" back exposes the walnut frame underneath. Carved cabriole legs with front casters. Sold separately.
