Everyone has their favorite fashion season: Spring brings pretty florals and bright colors, summer means swimwear and fabulous sundresses, while winter beckons us to cocoon ourselves in soft fleece and wool sweaters. As for fall, many of us at Soft Surroundings confess to looking forward to rich, warm colors, sumptuous fabrics and fall boots and booties.
Fall footwear is a wonderful thing. Nobody is concerned about their feet being too warm or too cold, nor is anybody concerned about damaging beautiful shoes or boots by stepping into puddles or walking along salt-strewn sidewalks. In fact, there was ever a time to show off the artisan boots in your collection, fall is definitely it.
While we confess to being in love with our shoe collection, we all have to admit to having our favorites. Below are four standouts that we’d love to introduce you to:
Savannah Booties: Every fall wardrobe should include at least a few animal prints. Our Savannah booties are crafted from faux leopard and metal studs and lined with fabric to help keep your feet cool. We particularly like these with dark rinse skinny or straight leg jeans and some amber jewelry.
Argento Boots: These boots help make your transition from warmer to cooler weather easy. Laser cutouts and low sides help keep the air circulating around your feet while providing coverage. They also come in basic black, taupe and your choice of shimmery pewter or rose gold.
Sure Fit Boots: These tall boots come in your choice of rich brown colors (caramel or whiskey) are adjustable to fit your calves. Simply loosen or tighten the lacing at the back according to what feels most comfortable. These are wonderful paired with a pair of stonewashed jeggings or skinny jeans.
Auden Boots: These over the knee boots are made from distressed, neutral gray Mexican leather that goes with just about everything in your closet. The 2 1/2 inch heel is the perfect height for walking around town and the extra long boots both lengthen your legs and make you look taller.
