Five-minute makeup? Yes, it’s possible! On weekends, you might have the luxury to get through all the steps. When time is tight though, we all love quick makeup solutions and simple makeup ideas. Maybe you’d rather be catching up on sleep, or are just searching for simple makeup looks to downsize your routine. You’re in the right place. Minute by minute, find out how to get a flawless face with these easy makeup ideas.

Minute 1 – Run to First Base

The first step is creating a smooth base for the rest of your makeup. Instead of layering on multiple products, use a multi-tasker. (Examples: a tinted primer or moisturizing foundation). Try the jane iredale Glow Time Full Coverage Mineral BB Cream. It’s coverage that includes other skincare benefits.
Squeeze out on the back of your hand. Use fingers to dot on forehead, nose, chin, and each cheek. Blend out with a makeup sponge or your fingers. (For more application tips, check out our primer and foundation guides).

Minute 2 – Quickly Conceal

Next: achieve flawless, refreshed skin with concealer. To speed up the process, skip the under eye crescent motion. Instead, apply the product in a triangular shape: the inner eye duct, down the edge of your nose, and then the outer corner of the eye. This way you’re concealing dark circles and redness around the nose at the same time. Blend out.

Minute 3 – Color Fast

Add a healthy glow with color. Use a multi-tasking stain to work as your blush and lipstick. Try the Just Kissed Lip And Cheek Stain. The stain comes in a convenient stick that glides on in a snap. You’ll get color in an instant. Bonus: stains are known for their staying power. (Find application ideas in this blush guide).
Another trick: use your stain as an eyeshadow. Take your ring finger and swipe some of the product. Dot on the center of your eyelids. Gently blend out. This saves a ton of time (eyeshadow palettes are fun, but take a while with all the blending and contouring). Stains are a quick fix to refresh eyes with a pretty glow.

Minute 4 – Blink and You’re Done

Define the eyes. Liquid can be tricky if you aren’t used to it. Pencils can smudge. Both mediums are great for different eye looks when you have more time. For a swiftly-lined eye though, a gel pencil liner is the solution. It’s harder to flub up. With a pencil-like applicator, it’s as easy as drawing with a marker. Try the Cailyn Gel Eyeshadow Pencil. You only really need to apply along the top lash lines. Natural shades such as browns and greys are more foolproof than black. A mistake is less noticeable and easier to fix!
Next, swipe on mascara. For a no-fuss application, try a skinny mascara. Skinny mascaras offer fast precision and will complement your natural, everyday makeup look.

Minute 5 – Finish Line

Lock in your look. Applying powder helps everything look seamless. Use a big, fluffy brush. Tap out excess. Swirl onto face. If you want a dewy look, just buff your powder onto the T-zone. You’re done!

Voila – beauty in a few minutes. Feel free to take away some time from one step to spend more time on a feature you want to focus on. For an on-the-go makeup routine, the goal is a fresh face.
